NOVEMBER 2008 Thanks for visiting chuckrenfroe.net!
11/15/08 Just returned home from a big weekend down at Auburn visiting McKenzie for the Georgia game. I went down
Thursday afternoon and had dinner with McK after setting up the RV at the park. The next morning, I explored some of
the cool nearby towns like Loachapoka,(pop 165 and home of Syrup Sopping Days), Notasulga (pop 916) and Tallassee (pronounced TAL-la- see). Jennifer came down in the afternoon and we watched a great bluegrass concert at our campsite. Saturday we tailgated
on campus with the McDonough War Eagle faithful including Kay & Keith, Eddie and Allison, et al. It was breezy and freakin
cold but lots of fun. The Tigers played well but lost 17-13.

Mary Margaret recently performed live at her school's talent show and was amazing! In addition
to singing and playing the piano, she has also written several compositions that are great. AND we just found out that she
got the lead role in her school play! She is going to be Dorothy in the spring production of Wizard of Oz! Reserve your tickets
now!

Oba-mania! 11/12/08 My buddy Larry is a distributor for the Houston
Chronicle. He took all the extra OBAMA WINS! headlines down to the corner and sold $700 bucks worth! See? - things
are already getting better under Obama...of course Larry will now have to pay 40% capital gains tax on his profits to "spread
the wealth". Thanks for doing your part, Larry!

Hunting
at Barksdale Plantation! 11/10/08 Scott
and his son Charlie and I spent another beautiful weekend at our hunting lodge out in the boonies. I hunted for a wildhog
Saturday night - saw a monster 350 pounder hog as we drove out after dark. Enjoyed some great food and watched football til
we fell asleep - then hunted quail all morning. Bagged 27 and brought some home for cooking on the grill. Great weekend!

Go
WolfPack! 11/09/08 My kids' school Whitefield Academy had a big week. On Thursday, they were featured
on the morning program for the local CBS affiliate. MM and some of her friends got up at 4:00am to be at the school for the
lives shots that ran from 5-7am. Great PR for the school! And then on Friday, we played Eagles Landing (where my brother's
kids go to school) for the Regional Football Championship! It was an awesome game! Very close with a fight to the finish -
(Emily's boyfriend Adam Rutledge is a Senior on the team) but Whitefield prevailed with a 20-17 victory! Go Wolf Pack!

NYC! 11/02/08 My youngest brother Jed just competed in his first NYC Marathon this past weekend. My dad went up with him and followed his progress along the 26 mile course which Jed completed in 4:27:46
in spite of some bad leg cramps late in the race. Jed has run several marathons before but this was his first trip to the
Big One! You can make out the Statue of Liberty in the photo. Way to go Jed!!!!

Halloween! 10/31/08 We had a great Halloween Weekend here in Atlanta.
The weather was stunning and we enjoyed lots of fun with neighbors and friends. Friday night my UWP friend Marshall Bowen
from Denver was in town and he joined me, John & Jennifer around the firepit after eating a halloween dinner at neighbor
Rosemary's house. Saturday night we made it over to Tim McLemore's ranch for a neighborhood party for 150 friends
which included a "spooky walk" for the kids. Great fun!

Quail! 10/23/08 I've been working alot down in the Macon area with my brothers - selling some of our billboards that have
come available. Last week Scott and I spent a night at our hunting lodge down near Cochran. It was too rainy to hunt quail
but we had fun scouting bigger game and eating Miss Anita's good cooking.

3...2...1...LAUNCH! 10/14/08 My Houston highschool buddy Fred Utley works on the NASA Shuttle Launch team. He is getting
ready for the big launch on November 14th. Fred, who helps the astronauts load in to the capsule, is going to Cape Canaveral
next week to participate in the "dress rehearsal". Fred was the first kid who could drive in our gang so he is experienced
in packing 5 people into a small space - he had a Gremlin. Hoping he gets me a pass - want to drive the RV down for the
launch!
